Zhipeng Jia is a Systems Research Engineer on the SRG team. At Google, his research explores how to efficiently serve emerging machine learning models with TPUs at scale.

Zhipeng obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, supervised by Emmett Witchel. His PhD dissertation studies involved how to improve performance, efficiency, and usability of serverless computing. Before earning his PhD, Zhipeng obtained his bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing, where he was enrolled in Yao Class.
