Maria Jump is an educator with a passion towards teaching programming and computer systems. She likes to help programmers understand their programs better. Maria received her Ph.D in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin where she studied mechanisms for performing Dynamic Heap Analysis to improve performance, find bugs, and improve program understanding.

Before joining Google, Maria was an Associate Teaching Professor at Northeastern University. Her interests are Computer Science education, systems & infrastructure, and programming languages.
