Uri Frank
VP, Engineering
Uri joined Google Cloud in March of 2021 and is now the vice president of engineering and general manager of the chip implementation and innovation (CI2) team. His team is responsible for defining and developing a wide variety of chips for Google's infrastructure, such as specialized machine learning accelerators, video transcoding accelerators, and networking chips.
Before Google Cloud, Uri distinguished himself as a corporate vice president at Intel where he led development for generations of high-performance compute solutions: Core IP to client, datacenter, and IOT businesses. The SoCs he developed for Intel’s personal computing businesses resulted in higher performance, new features, and significant power consumption improvements.
Uri earned his BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and holds a number of patents in computer architecture.
